In most projects, there’s a gap between how requirements are written (specs, drawings, contracts) and how work is planned and executed (work fronts, activities, disciplines). Work Packs in Volve are built to bridge that gap.

Automatically group content by work pack

Volve has built-in knowledge of typical work packs and related site activities for both buildings and infrastructure.

The platform:

  • Groups relevant clauses, requirements and descriptions per work pack

  • Follows a structure that mirrors how work is actually organised on site

Summarise and detect requirements per work pack

The system reads technical and contractual text and surfaces what actually matters for each work pack:

  • Key obligations and requirements

  • Constraints and assumptions

  • Interfaces to other trades, systems or areas

You get a clear view of “what applies here” for one specific part of the work.

Work pack–specific risk drivers and tailored checklists

Volve comes with built-in understanding of common risk drivers per work pack (ground conditions, access, interfaces, logistics, etc.), and lets you:

  • Highlight risk drivers per work pack

  • Attach tailored checklists for review, QA and follow-up

This supports both structured risk reviews and ongoing quality work.

Supports both tendering and execution

The Work Packs setup is dynamic by design – it works for high-level assessment and for detailed requirement and scope detection:

  • In tendering
Use Work Packs to connect specs to pricing, risk review and procurement – so quantities, risk and supplier scopes are all anchored in the same understanding of the work.

  • In execution
Trace issues and changes back to the underlying spec and contract text for that specific work pack – making it easier to manage change, clarify responsibilities and support QA.

The result: you can look at a project the way site and planning teams think about it – by work packs and activities – while staying fully connected to the underlying specs and contracts.

This is another major step in how we use AI to connect contract language and site reality in Volve. More to come.
